We biked away from Julie's Park Cafe with our bellies full. I told Ellie we should do some window shopping and she agreed. We headed up the hill to the Top of the Hill Shops. We walked around until we came to Connie Glowacki's Gallery. Connie is a lovely woman with a lot of great watercolor paintings. We walked through the door with our twin three-year-olds, and Connie was very warm and welcoming. Connie walked to the back and brought out a plastic tote of stuffed animals for the boys to play with. Ellie and Connie talked about art and we must have spent a good half an hour in her shop. While Connie and Ellie were talking I looked through Connie's prints and painting. I ended up purchasing a puzzle. The puzzle is a black and white rendering of a old barn with a old truck from the thirties or forties parked alongside it. It is a 308 piece puzzle. It should be fun to put together, and then we can hang it on the wall when we are done. It only cost a bit over 12 dollars.
Connie has a lot of great work especially paintings with vivid color. Stop by her gallery at:
