Blueberries, sweet and tart. Blueberries! You can't experience the full captivating taste from the ones at Wal-Mart. Blueberries come in many shapes and sizes. Blueberries are blue, so says my eyes! It is little to no surprise that I want these blue little treats. It is these little nibbles I will run to. My heart sings for these blue tinted treats! Door County is known for many things. Blueberries are not one. When blueberries are mentioned, with little contention folks think of Michigan, New Jersey, or Maine. Though this may or might bring pain. I would jump through hoops and then a few rings in the rain.
Come rain or any weather July can not come any faster. Today is August and there is very little promise that I will see a fresh blueberry within a reasonable radius. This thought is serious, but rather true. Golly Blueberries I dream of growing you. I dream of the day you turn blue. Shades of purple and red and blue blue blue.
I hate to tell you this. However I would be remiss if I didn't mention that I love other berries as well. There are strawberries, blackberries, goji berries, currants, cranberries, buffalo berries, elderberries, and more wild things than you can shake a stick at. Therefore, this is where I am at. Blueberries your it for me. Particularly in your season, but when you are gone, I most move on.
This is true unless I can grow more of you. There is technology that can preserve your nutrition for 25 years. Freeze Drying preserves without frying. The bottom line or what I am trying to say is that I like how you taste. This fact is not up for debate. I can not wait. Munch Munch Munch.
