Sister Bay is hoping with activity this weekend! There was a fireman pancake breakfast Saturday morning, fireworks Saturday nigh, and a ski show Sunday. There are camel rides for kids shopping and all sorts of things to eat. Its a bit crazy if you are anti- social or can't stand crowds, but there is plenty of fun to be had by all. There was a kiddo boat ride I tried to get my boys on. We bought tickets and put Lee-lee on and he started crying. The ride operator helped him off and told us to get a refund. That was nice. We decided to walk up the main drag and grab some goat cheese honey ice cream it was smooth and creamy. We walked down toward the marina and sat at a grassy park under some shade trees watching the water skiing show. The 3 folks tall pyramid thing is pretty impressive.
We decided to walk home hope on our bikes and ride to Piggy Wiggly to get some potatoes to go with some steaks that will be grilled. Its a lazy, yet eventful day before labor day. Sister Bay is the place to be to experience it all and then some.
-P.S. To the motorcyclist who yelled at my wife to get the blank off the road when she was on her bicycle. She was being super safe and mindful of her surrounding, wearing a helmet and all. Door County is a great place to ride bicycle. Door County should be enjoyed going at a slower pace. Bicycling allows you to enjoy it at a perfect pace in my opinion. There would be no motorcycle without the mighty bicycle. There are a lot of folks who could vent frustrations on various modes of transportation. Anyway, life is short and bicycles and motorized vehicles don't mix. The day a true bike lane is installed on all the roads will be a really fun and safe day. Yelling at folks around here or anywhere is barbaric and classless. There is plenty Door County for everyone!
